Otel is a relatively new company providing Internet services to its clients via cable. It work with space times network cable TV operator for cable infrastructure. Otel's cheap services and high speed connection has excited customers a lot but the quality of services they provide is yet to be ascertained. They provdce broadband internet router which acts as a one-box-solution by providing high speed internet connection along with IP telephony and IPTV services. Otel also has a local cache servers for faster access to popular contents.

Oh! regarding YouTube videos. its excellent so far. No buffering even at 720p so that's good.
Is it better than ADSL?
- I think yes. For now its better as I used to have 192kbps ADSL. But you know that the quality of ISPs decline very fast and I hope this will not happen to Otel.

Otel's 1Mbps Home plan is descent so far. Browsing is good and fast. It should be adequate for most users and most home user will have no complain here. Regarding the download speed, it hits more than 100Kbps but with 1Mbps connection it should be significantly more. Torrent speed also reaches upward of 100Kbps but not often. Torrent speed in my case hovers around 70Kbps most of the time. 100+ Kbps is reached during the night. So, if you are huge downloader, Otel might not be your ideal option. At the price they are giving this shared connection I don't think we can complain much.

I am using otel since 3 months and it has been the worst experience and decision of choosing Otel. The team of Otel are least bothered about their customers facing problems with the loss of signal. I will suggest to "Never opt for Otel"
