NT unveils Rs. 62 billion budget for FY 2012/2013

The Nepal Telecom (NT) has proposed a budget of Rs. 62.36 billion for the fiscal year 2012/13.

Organising a press conference in the capital on Tuesday, the company said that it has targeted to earn a gross income of Rs. 36 billion during the current fiscal year while its income stood at Rs. 33.77 billion in the previous year. Of the 62.36 billion, Rs 15.11 billion has been earmarked for expansion of the telephone lines.

Likewise, the company has also aimed to contribute Rs.19.06 billion in revenue to the government this fiscal year while it had contributed around Rs. 18.07 billion in revenue in the last fiscal year.
